How much does a drone roof survey cost? +

Our drone roof surveys start from £179 for a standard residential property. Larger properties, commercial buildings, and specialist surveys (such as construction progress monitoring) are quoted individually. Contact us for a free, no-obligation quote tailored to your property.

Is a drone survey cheaper than scaffolding? +

Yes — significantly cheaper. Scaffolding hire for a standard residential property in North London typically costs £500–£2,000 or more, and that’s before any inspection work begins. Our drone surveys start from £179 all-in, with no access equipment required and no disruption to your property.

Do you charge extra for the written report? +

No. The written report, annotated photographs, and all imagery are included in the survey price. There are no additional charges for the report or its delivery.

The Survey Process

Do I need to be home during the survey? +

Not necessarily. We only need access to the exterior of the property and do not need to enter your home at any point. In most cases we can carry out the full inspection without you being present. We will confirm all access requirements when booking.

How long does a survey take? +

Most residential surveys complete in one to two hours on site. Larger or more complex properties may take longer. Your written report and imagery is delivered within 24 hours of the survey completing.

What weather conditions affect the survey? +

We operate in most dry conditions including overcast days. We cannot fly in rain, high winds, fog, or storms. If weather is unsuitable on your booked date, we will contact you in advance to reschedule at no charge.

How quickly can you book? +

We typically have availability within the same week. For urgent inspections we can often arrange a visit within 24 to 48 hours. Get in touch via our contact form or WhatsApp and we will confirm the next available slot.

The Report

What does the report include? +

Every report includes a structured written summary, annotated high-resolution photographs of all areas of concern, and clear recommendations on any remedial action. Where video footage has been captured, a link is also provided. Reports are suitable for insurance claims, planning applications, pre-purchase due diligence, and maintenance records.

How is the report delivered? +

Reports are delivered by email as a PDF within 24 hours of the survey. High-resolution images and video links are included within the report or via a secure shared folder. If you need a specific format for a solicitor, insurer, or contractor, just let us know.

Can the report be used for insurance? +

Yes. Our reports are regularly used to support insurance claims for storm and weather damage and as evidence in property disputes. If your insurer has specific requirements, let us know before booking and we will tailor the format accordingly.

Legality and Safety

Is drone surveying legal? +

Yes, absolutely. We are fully registered with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and operate under the UK Drone Code and all applicable regulations. Our pilots hold the required qualifications, every operation is fully insured, and we carry out thorough pre-flight checks and a site risk assessment before every survey.

Do you need permission from neighbours? +

In most cases, no. We fly directly above your property and keep the drone focused on the roof being inspected. Where a neighbouring property needs to be briefly overflown, we will advise you in advance. We take privacy seriously — the drone is never used to film neighbouring properties or their occupants.

Can you survey any type of roof? +

Yes. We inspect all common roof types: pitched, flat, mansard, hipped, and dormer, across all materials including clay and concrete tiles, natural slate, metal, felt, EPDM, and fibreglass. We also cover chimneys, guttering, downpipes, lead flashing, ridge tiles, and parapet walls.

Coverage and Pricing

What areas do you cover? +

We cover all of North London including Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, Islington, Hackney, Waltham Forest, and surrounding boroughs, as well as adjacent areas of Hertfordshire and Essex. If you are unsure whether your location is within our range, get in touch and we will confirm with no obligation.

How much does a survey cost? +

Pricing depends on the size and complexity of the property. We always provide a fixed quote before any work begins so there are no surprises. For a standard residential roof our surveys are competitively priced and typically cost a fraction of what scaffolding alone would set you back. Contact us for a free, no-obligation quote.

Do you carry out commercial surveys? +

Yes. We work with landlords, property managers, facilities teams, and construction companies. Commercial surveys are scoped to the specific needs of the site — whether a flat-roof warehouse, a block of flats, or a listed commercial building. We are happy to discuss requirements and provide a tailored quote.
